Get To Know Our Firm
Federal defense shaped by work in prosecution, investigations, and the courtroom.
Different disciplines.
One defense.
Keith & Lorfing brings lawyers, former federal agents, and financial specialists together to represent people and organizations in federal matters. Our work spans government inquiries, criminal allegations, and related business concerns.
A federal case can turn on an interview, a transaction, or a small detail in a large collection of records. Our team’s range of experience helps us examine those details from more than one perspective.
Federal courtroom experience
Former federal prosecutors and a retired federal judge contribute experience with how cases are presented, challenged, and decided.
Investigative experience
Former FBI and IRS-CI agents bring knowledge of evidence gathering, interviews, and financial investigations.
Financial analysis
Accounting and forensic analysis help make sense of the transactions and records behind complex allegations.
Business perspective
Counsel and advisors with corporate and family office backgrounds understand the organizational decisions surrounding an investigation.

How we work with you.
1
Direct conversations
You work with the attorneys responsible for your matter. We explain the issues, discuss the available choices, and keep the conversation grounded in your circumstances.
2
Preparation before decisions
Our work begins with questions and records. We examine the evidence, test assumptions, and prepare a strategy that reflects what the investigation actually shows.
3
A plan for the courtroom
Negotiations and trial preparation both have a place in a defense. We prepare to advocate in court when the matter requires it.
